    Hello !

    What configuring eBGP on Junos SRX is correct ?

    What method is right?

    1) Separate AS per each routing-instance

    Hello,

    It depends.

    If You have loads of public AS numbers to spend, or You like t'shooting BGP in Your spare time You can go with 1 ASN per RI, public or private.

    If You want Your SRX to represent itself consistently to outside BGP peers independent of where the peering takes place (in inet.0 or inside RI) then single ASN is the way to go.

    In either case, the ASP_PATH loop check is performed against ALL ASNs configured on the box, in all RI.

    Both the implementations hsown by youa re correct. merely depends on your requirement.
