Power Cycle/failure

My device i.e srx345 rebooted by its own accord and the reason was stated as power Cycle failure. Does this mean I have an issue with the chassis or power running on device?? How will I know what is the culprit part??

Hi Netgear,

Greetings,

Please check if the log messages show something like below at the time of reboot for the SRX device:

Aug 12 22:08:45 SRX100 eventd[1033]: SYSTEM_ABNORMAL_SHUTDOWN: System abnormally shut down

If yes, then the problem is with power supply or hardware.  Check if there are any core dumps and the chassis environment to find out if power supply failed.

show system core-dumps
show chassis environment

Refer the KB article for more details:

Hope this helps. Smiley Happy

Hi Netgear,

The error could be most likely due to a power failure or some transient power issues on the device. You might want to verify if there is any alarm generated and cleared ( or still present ) due to a power issue in the chassisd file.

On repeated occurrences of reboot, please raise a case with JTAC for detailed analysis.

Hope this helps Smiley Happy
