SRX 1500 Cluster Syncronization issue

2 weeks ago

Hi, I am confused with this warning and cant find any information about it.

Below is the output when commiting from the primary node of our cluster. It warns that peers are not syncronized as below however then commits to both nodes. I have also checked the configurations on both and these are exactly the same. Below is also the out put from show chassis cluster control-pane statistics...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The error message means you don't have commit peers configured under the 'system commit' stanza.  This is an MC-LAG function, and is not required or supported on SRX cluster.  A properly setup SRX cluster will automatically push the config to both nodes on all commits - just use 'commit' as normal.

Hi thanks for your quick reply.

It would seem that we do have this though?

{primary:node0}[edit]
XXXXXX@XXXXXXX# show system commit
synchronize-peers;

thanks!

You may have that knob configured, but the warning is telling you that peers aren't configured under 'system commit peers' - host-name/IP and user information.  But again, this function is for MC-LAG and not for SRX.  The specific configuration knob you have listed can be removed.
