  • 1.  SRX clustering - another hardware question

    Going back to my original chassis detail, I just realized that my existing unit is an SRX240H and my new unit is an SRX240H2.  Is this by definition a difference in the hardware that will prevent clustering?  Or will I still be able to cluster them?

    This also seems to be a problem in terms of the licensing, as one is different than the other.  The logical-system permanent license doesn't appear to be on the SRX240H2.

    HI,

    yes you can build a cluster of them, I would recommend that you use an active / passive setup and that you use the 240H2 as the active one.

    The difference between the 240 and 240H2

    SRX240H = 1Gb RAM
    SRX240H2 = 2GB RAM

    The CPU is the same in both boxes only the memory is different

    The only difference is that you can run an logical router on the H.... But you don not need this license to run in a cluster

    Their are some unsupported quides online to upgrade the 240H with more memory...  But at your own risk!!

    Hope this helps a little
