  • 1.  SRX clustering over layer 2 switched network

    Hi,

     

    The goal is to cluster a SRX3400 (and SRX240) over a switched layer 2 network that is built on EX4300.

    According to this document:

    This should be possible. But there is no example on how to configure this on the EX-side. The part that is not documented is the following:

    "The switching layer must be configured to allow traffic with invalid checksum and length"

     

    And in addition to this. when the L2 network is several switches (as in one of the examples in TN21) is this configuration required on the trunk as well or is it configured on a per vlan base?

     

    Anyone with insight on this that can point me in the right direction?

    I havent tried it yet but according to partner-support, there is no limitation within EX-switches. Just make sure mtu 9216 is set.
