SRX

Hi,

I am going to deploy 2 Juniper SRX in one of my branch offices. This brach office has 60 computers and I don´t know which is the best solution, SRX 220 or SRX 240 ?.

Of course it depends on your particular reqirements, are you going to run IDP, Antivirus,
other UTM features? What throughput do you need? You can see comparative details
of the boxes at

SRX240 is somewhat faster and has 16 ports while 220 has 8 ports.

I would think that for 60 users without IDP/UTM SRX220 will be definitely enough,
while if you need IDP/UTM at speeds about 100M then better not to economize and take
a look at 240 (high-memory version needed for these features, btw).

I´m not going to use IDP/UTM, then I´ll choose SRX 220.

can agree,

imho utm with junos 10.4.x until now not yet stable .... does not replace a proxy solution etc..

tested on a srx100hm, srx210hm

the srx220 should provide you with the necessary power...
