primary (node 0 is ok)
however on secondary (node 1) getting following error
X.X.X@X.X.X> show ntp status/usr/bin/ntpq: configured source-address in ntp.conf x.x.x.124 invalid.
Using one of the local addresses.
localhost:time out, nothing received
****request timed out
I got NTP working in other SRX cluster environment. By the way I am using fxp0 interfaces as source to NTP. Below please
see an example output from secondary node (working one).
XXXXXX@working> show ntp associations
/usr/bin/ntpq: configured source-address in ntp.conf X>X>X.93 invalid. -------->FXP0 floating IP
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
*X>X>X.240 X.X.X.116 2 - 891 1024 377 2.009 0.204 4.432
X>X>X.241 .STEP. 16 - - 1024 0 0.000 0.000 4000.00
But in this case we also sourcing NTP from FXP0 (floating) but getting following result
XXX@notworkingone> show ntp associations
/usr/bin/ntpq: configured source-address in ntp.conf XXXXX124 invalid.-------->FXP0 floating IP
localhost: timed out, nothing received
***Request timed out
So please help me to investigate, why the secondary node unable to contact the NTP server using the local interface, just like the other one ?
Can you pl paste your config?
