Terminating q-in-q on a SRX220h

‎08-15-2011 11:02 AM

Is it possible to terminate a qinq vlan on a SRX220h? I receive a qinq vlan with three customer vlans inside. I need to terminate those vlan on a L3 interface. I read some info on how it is done on the MX series.

ex.

set interfaces ge-0/0/6 stacked-vlan-tagging
set interfaces ge-0/0/6 encapsulation flexible-ethernet-services
set interfaces ge-0/0/6 unit 100 vlan-tags outer 4000 inner 100
set interfaces ge-0/0/6 unit 100 family inet address 10.0.100.1/24

the article also mentions that depending on the hardware it may or may not work. I am trying to find a document that explain how to do this on an SRX or if it is possible at all.

Sorry,

Unfortunately that is not supported on SRXs yet. Without making any commitments, we are working on this for branch SRX boxes (together with support for native-vlan on L3 interfaces).

Thanks,

Pato

Good to hear!  Native-vlan on L3-interfaces has been counfounding me for years in Junos! ; )
