  • 1.  Where to download from install package for SRX100?

    Hello JunOS friends,

     

    I recently bought an SRX100B (second hand) which has installed a 10.0R3.10 JunOS version. I want to upgrade to the new one. I have an account created in Juniper, but when I click to download the package it prompts me that I do not have the priveleges to do that so.

     

    What can I do?

     

    Also, why the installed as now package (10.0R3.10) does not have "UTM" capabilities? Is it a matter of the version again, or it is because I am missing the licence?

    (you need to have support login to download package)

     

    Yes, for UTM feature, you need to procure license.

    Hi Raveen,

    This is the low-mem device with 512 DRAM, however, what I want is only practice with the security - utm, hierarchy. The problem is that I cannot see "utm" under the security hierarchy.

    If I get the licence this will be fixed? It is only for practicing purposes, again.

    You need both license as well as upgrade OS.

    In other words I have to replace the whole device to get the high-mem? Or I can buy a licence which gives me the additional 512DRAM??

    Hi Raveen,

     

    That are SO great news, because I was ready to order another one device to support UTM.

     

    With a quick search, I revealed that I have to contact my Juniper representatives to provide me with a licence. Nevertheless, this is a second-hand device from e-bay. Does, you, or Juniper, would be happy to provide me with one, although I did that (buying second-hand).

    Yes, you need to contact Juniper representative to buy license.
