how to make SRX Redundancy group 0 and group 1 same state when failover

‎08-19-2015 03:55 AM

Hi all,

Is it possible to make the SRX to behave when redundancy group 1 is failover from node0 to node1, the redundancy group 0 will also follow failover to node0 to node1 ?

Redundancy group: 0 , Failover count: 2
node0 129 primary no no None
node1 128 secondary no no None

Redundancy group: 1 , Failover count: 2
node0 100 primary no no None
node1 2 secondary no no None

MANUAL FAIL OVER

request chassis cluster failover redundancy-group 1 node 1

Redundancy group: 0 , Failover count: 2 --> how to make the state as Redundancy group 1 ?
node0 129 primary no no None
node1 128 secondary no no None

Redundancy group: 1 , Failover count: 3
node0 100 secondary no yes None
node1 255 primary no yes None

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Do you mean fail both when you issue the manual cli command? If you monitor the same interfaces then both rg's will failover when the weight reachs 0.

Hi,

You can achieve this by configuring interface-monitor for teh same interfaces which are being monitored on the RG1 or other RGs.

However, this is not recommended and also this will work only when the interface being monitored goes down.

The failover done manually would not cause the simultaneous failover.

For that you will have to run some script created for this.
