  • 1.  unable to "show dhcp client binding"

    i am trying to view all dhcp client bindings so i can track down ip address to mac address mapping

     

    version 12.1X46-D77.1

     

     

    > show dhcp client binding
warning: dhcp-service subsystem not running - not needed by configuration.



> show dhcp client binding detail
warning: dhcp-service subsystem not running - not needed by configuration.



> restart dhcp gracefully

    what do i do?

    If you are in fact running a dhcp server on the srx then you want 'show dhcp server binding' or 'show system services dhcp binding' if you're using the old-style dhcp configuration method. Otherwise 'show arp' displays all IP->MAC bindings that it's aware of.

    "show system services dhcp binding" and "show arp"
