Problem creating mobile VPN for mac

[ Edited ]
‎05-09-2012 06:35 AM

Hi

I'm trying to set up an SSG-5 that with time has to replace another unit as gateway. But for now I have to set up dial up VPN and test is with a static route on the internal MAC server.

I have set traffic to the external ip-adresse that my dial up connection haf, to be routes to the SSG.

I'm using ipsecuritas and the tunnes is up. I can access the lan-interface of the SSG, but nothing else on the network including the servere where I set up the static route.

Can anyone help me figure out the problem?

This is the config of the SSG:

Hi,

Can you run a debug flow basic to see what is missing?

This post should help:

Hi

Thank you for the suggestion!

I ran the debug basic and I see my ping arriving at the box, but I get nothing back from the device i'm pinging, even if the default gateway is set to the SSG, but maybe I need to reboot the box to make the changes apply.

I tried to add a route to another device on the network behind the SSG directing traffic to the interenal ip of the remote device. Now I have traffic to this device. So it seems to be a problems with the other device I used for testing, that it did not change it's default GW on the fly.

At the bottom of the debug flow output it will state what policies were applied and what actions were taken with the traffic.

This could be either a routing or policy issue.
