Hi,

    I had purchased a new SSG 350M.

    I am able to access the SSG with the default ip address 192.168.1.1 (my PC ip address : 192.168.1.2)  on

    the default  interface e0/0 and I am  able to see the WebUi Login Screen.

    After logging in, I had configured my SSG on a Trust port e2/0 with ip 172.30.5.3 and I am able to Telnet to the

    SSG with  the ip 172.30.5.3 from any of my PC connected to the office network.

    But when I tried to use WebUi to login to SSG as below :

    HTTP://172.30.5.3//  , I get a error "Redirect fail" and I am not able to get the WebUi Login Screen.

    I had surfed the Internet and some adivces like setting and removing the SSL as well as TSL options had been

    tried but with no success.

    I had read the SSG manuals in and out and tried all means but unfortunately without any success.

    I had configured the SSG simply as below :

    Configuration --> Admin --> Management -- HTTP Port :80 (Redirect HTTP to HTTPS)

     Network --> Interfaces --> e2/0 -->Static IP (IP Address/Netmask :172.30.5.253/24 Manage IP :172.30.5.3),,,,,

     Service Options (Management Services ::: WebUI  flag is "on" ).

      Kindly give me some advice or hints on how to troubleshoot the WebUi Login problem.

Hi Kumagairyu,

If you want redirection from http to https to work then make sure below both commands are enabled on firewall:

set admin http redirect

set ssl enable

Otherwise, simply use below configuration to have access on http:

unset admin http redirect

set ssl enable

If still doesn't work then you need to clear browsing cache of the browser and see if it works.

        Thank you so much for your wonderful tips and advices.

         Yes, it works perfectly.

         After disabling the "http redirect" as well as clearing the cache,

         I am now able to access the WebUi without any problem.

         I had spent about 2 days checking the Internet as well and corresponding with our local support (very poor

         service and wasting my time) and I am glad that you were kind enough to help.

by clearing the cache after enabled ssl and disable redirects fixed it.

Remark : if you enter  "nswebui.html" instead of redirect.html you probably do not need to clear the cache
