SSG5 DHCP Relay not working after tunnel cycles

We have an office location that has been having a problem with their provider going down. When it goes down, of course the tunnel drops. When the provider network comes back up, the SSG5 reconnects the tunnel as it should and all static devices on the other side come back online. What doesn't work is DHCP. The only way I have found to get the relay back is to reboot the device. Any ideas?

This sounds like it will end up being a software bug.  I would start by upgrading the the latest release r26 and see if the issue is cleared or not.


If it isn't you will need to check with JTAC support to see if it is an already reported issue with a PR number (problem report).   If it is you can ask to be notified when the fix ships.  If not they will need to gather all the log details from your device for the developers to identify the problem and work on the fix.

Ok, thanks. In this case, there is no support contract with the unit. The customer tried to renew support for them, but was told none was availalbe becuse they are an EOL product. It doesn't look like I can start a case with JTAC unless there is an active support agreement.


I will try updating the firmware to a newer version, and hopefully that will fix it. These are schduled to be relpaced in the next six months, but maybe we will need to expedite that if this doesn't work.
