This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  Upgrading SSG 140 6.1 to 6.2

    Current version: 6.1.0r2.0
    New version: 6.2.0r4.0

     

    I plan to upgrade the device firmware (without the bootloader) from remote, using the WebUI.
    Will the firewall loose the configuration and IP addresses after the upgrade?

     

    Is it safe to upgrade from remote, or being near the device is mandatory?

    Decided to go for it. - and the upgrade went like charm

    The device didn't loose any IP address so it was still accessible after the upgrade.

    I just had to merge an older config.
