  • 1.  VLAN's on 5GTW

    I want to create VLAN's on a 5GT and seprate some traffic. I have the firewall configured ast Untrust, Work, Home.

    eth1 = 10.5.30.0/25

    eth2 = 10.5.30.129/29

     

    Now if I create a "Sub-IF" as 10.5.30.137/29 on eth1 it will be "eth1.1" Will that be considered as VLAN 1 or VLAN 2?

    Also when I do this I don't have the option to edit the VLAN Tag.  It is set to "0".

    802.1q vlan tag is supported on 5GT beginning with ScreenOS 5.3.0. However, this is only supported in trust-untrust mode. Home-work mode doesn't support vlan tag configuration. You can refer to ScreenOS 5.3.0 release notes under new features section.
