pop3 error log

I am getting the below error frequently in the eventlog recently :

 

APP session <external IP>:58238-><Internal Mail server IP>:110 is aborted due to pop3 parse cmd error with code -1.

 

Where the issue could be?

EDP,

 

The message looks similar to the message in this KB article: KB10080 - Error in event log: "smtp parse cmd error with code -1".  However, yours is related to POP3.

What ScreenOS version are you running?

Recently we have upgraded to 6.1.0r2.0.  Still we are getting the above error.  any solutions

If you are still getting the error,its likely that you could have some SMTP commands which are not supported or not being handled by the firewall correctly.

 

As the KB suggests,you can either disable the cmds,or it would be better to open a JTAC case to confirm.

If the SMTP command is really something not supported at this time though,its going to be difficult for you to use AV/Anti Spam.
