Hi Oncio,

Please provide some more information. Do you have a new unconfigured SSG5 or is it already (mis)configured?

                                                                                                                                          ip 83.x.x.2,                                                                                                                                                           gateway 83.x.x.1 )

Connect your internetconnection to port 0/0, connect a notebook or computer to port 0/3. Power up the Netscreen and wait until the statusled start blinking, this means the device is ready.

Now renew your IP settings using DHCP and connect to 192.168.1.1, this will get you on the Rapid Deployment guide. Here you'll find a wizard that will let set the IP configuration and some DHCP options.
