Don’t get me wrong, firewalls have come a long way over the years. They are great security enforcement points based on what they do know, but there is so much more that is possible.
Juniper is focused on building high IQ networks and that includes high IQ security. Instead of focusing just on point solution intelligence, we’ve built an extended security intelligence framework that connects to the firewall. This framework delivers highly actionable intelligence from multiple sources so the firewall can enforce unique intelligence-based policies.
Early functionality includes the ability to block attackers at the device level based on fingerprints from Spotlight Secure as well as the ability to block malware attempts to communicate with known command and control servers.
It can also speed up the ability for the firewall to respond to changing environments through the use of dynamic address groups, GEOIP controls and additional custom intelligence feeds.
Stop by the Juniper booth at the RSA Conference this week to see a sneak peek of this new way to boost the intelligence of your firewall.
