A New Addition to the MX2000 Family
Nov 4, 2016

Juniper Network’s MX2000 family of Universal Edge routers are the most powerful edge routers in the industry, and are helping cloud operators and service providers world-wide meet their long-term scale and performance requirements.

The Zayo Group has also deployed MX2000’s on their advanced 112,600-mile network in North America and Europe. Their all-fiber backbone – 8.7 million miles of it – includes connectivity to thousands of data centers, enterprise locations, carrier exchange points, wireless towers, media centers, entertainment venues, financial exchanges and cloud providers. Zayo selected the MX2010 to provide high density and performance in their metro areas, in support of Layer 2 services.

Recently, we introduced an addition to the MX2000 family; the MX2008, which offers the ultra-high performance and density in a space optimized form factor. Taking advantage of new technology and design advancements, the MX2008 offers the same system capacity (40Tbps), slot spaces (10), and interface density of the MX2010 in just 24 rack-units, making it an ideal choice for a wide variety of edge, and consolidated edge/core applications where space is at a premium. You can check out the MX2000 Series datasheet for all the details.
