JNCIE-M to JNCIE-SP numbering

‎06-13-2013 06:28 AM

I thought I knew this answer based on a number of postings here and a couple of past emails, but maybe something has changed. I finally got around to recerting my JNCIE-M and I see in Certmanager I have a new JNCIE-SP number (was 921 for M, now 2055). Can someone clarify this for me? As an example, here is one post on here from a Juniper employee - "If you are currently a JNCIE-M, then yes, your recert exam will be JNCIP-SP.  And to finish the thought, when you recert you will effectively transition into the new program and become JNCIE-SP, and your M number will be carried over."

Thanks!
