Training and Certification

Hi Liz,

Just checked out the link to the Junos Virtual Classroom on Juniper website. Can you please share some insight about the same. Looks like juniper has finally answered the queries for multiple students to provide a virtual simulator to practise junos & prepare for certifications.

Can you please share your insight that whether this classroom will be accessible only to partners/ customer or students coming in through learning partners. Will individual candidates too will get access to the virtual classroom.

Can this virtual classroom be used to prepare for juniper certs till JNCIE level. Does this virtual classroom support routing, switching & SRX platforms.

This move from Juniper is really amazing to promote Juniper certified Engineers & Junos in the market.

Thanks for posting here and in the LinkedIn Juniper Certification group.  Not everyone belongs to both (like you and me!!!) so we are sure to capture a broad audience.  Posting the same response here as in LinkedIn:

Junosphere is definately a game changing technology! We in Juniper Education Services are very excited about this product. We can definately leverage Junosphere in certification. Currently we are developing E level bootcamps for the new JNCIE exams. The SEC and SP bootcamps will use Junosphere to provide lab exercises and exam practice tests to participants. In addition, we are working to determine how to provide rack time for Juniper cert prep. Junosphere can support this for all three Junos tracks. Look for more on this from us toward the end of the year.

Thanks for the comments.  Yes, we are very excited about Junosphere & the potential it gives people to be educated on Junos.  At this time, only companies with a business relationship with Juniper can buy access to the system, but please contact Juniper Educational Services to learn more about your individual options.

Thanks for your replies. Will eagerly wait for the new developments coming on junosphere.

This is a real great effort put in by the Junos Team to provide such a valuable product to end users.

I hope some time later this product would be available to individual candidates as well who might not have business relationship with Juniper.
