Problem installing vmx 17.2R.13 : Unable to set bridge br-ext forward_delay: Numerical result out of range

Hello,

When I attempt to install vmx 17.2R.13, I get an error:

I did a little creative googling and I found this error message on Redhat's website, solution 229387, which is a little odd because I'm running Ubuntu.  But it is what it is.

When the script exits, my interface to the LAN, eno1, loses its IPv4 address.  Running ifdown eno1 and then ifup eno1 will clear that problem.

I instrumented the file scripts/kvm/common/vmx_kvm_bringup.sh line 151 with:
152: echo "GETTING READY TO START THE EXTERNAL BRIDGE, $external_br_name"

and what I see when I run the vmx.sh script is:

Flush eno1........................................[OK]
GETTING READY TO START THE EXTERNAL BRIDGE, br-ext
virsh net-start br-ext -cmd_descr Start br-ext no_define_error_on_start = -err
Start br-ext......................................[Failed]
error: Failed to start network br-ext
error: Unable to set bridge br-ext forward_delay: Numerical result out of range
Log file..........................................
/home/jeffs/work/juniper/vmx-17.2R.13/build/vmx1/logs/vmx_1501751402.log

Clearly, I am doing something wrong.  It just isn't obvious to me (obviously) what that might be.

Thank you

Jeff

I think I solved the problem.  My interface was getting its IPv4 address from DHCP.  When I changed the /etc/network/interfaces file a fixed, static IPv4 address, then this problem went away.  Not sure it is actually solved, but at least vmx.sh can configure the br-ext interface.

Thank you
