Zero Touch Provisioning

‎09-12-2018 12:16 AM

Does Juniper vMX support zero touch provisioning? In the factory-default mode, a few configurations should be done.

In multiple vMX installation, it would be helpful if I can automatically give an intial configuration to the vMX nodes.

Thanks

Hiroshi

Hello,

This link talks about 'Configuring Zero Touch Provisioning' and MX is one of the supported platforms.

https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/task/configuration/software-image-and-confi...

However when checking the 'feature explorer', I do not see vMX supporting ZTP.

Hi Rushi

Thank you for the reference.

As you said, I could not find any information if vMX supports ZTP or not.

Let me try the model.

Hi Hiroshi,

vMX is not qualified for ZTP.

Feature explorer is the tool where you can see what platforms and versions of Junos support which features.

This is the ZTP page.  vMX is not supported.
