vMX IPsec

‎10-04-2019 03:36 AM

Hi Juniper Experts,
i am new to Juniper but i have a couple years of experienxe with CISCO technologies, i have a few question regarding vMX:
while i was trying to test Ipsec IKEv1 on vMX 14 R8, i have noticed that
i can't create a IKE policy due this error: could not resolve name name_of_policy

do i need to create zones and policies before configuring ipsec ?

what is the equivalent of DVTI in Junos World ?

i would like to test IKEv2 and push configuration to my spokes? in cisco you can use local AAA authorization or with RADIUS server, what is the equivalent of AAA in Junos ?
is there an equivalent of FlexVPN ?

thanks in advance.

Hello Ayoub,

IPSec is not supported for vMX and MX150 platform. Its been deprecated.

Please review KB35122 for more info:

https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB35122&act=login

I would suggest to use vSRX as virtual platform for IPsec.
