vSRX on Azure building in resiliency

‎02-12-2019 06:29 AM

Hi,

I was thiinking of deploying vSRX onto Azure to create a VPN between my corporate data centre and Azure v-nets, but I dont seem to bhe able to cluster for resiliency. We have 2 vSRX on premise and would like 2 in Azure to load balance as well as create resilient VPN solution, I would also like to publish web services out of Azure to the Internet via the vSRX devices in the cloud.

Any thoughts on if this is possible, or is it the best option.

Hello,

vSRX chassis cluster is not supported on the Azure for now.

You might want to have both vSRXs establishing the VPN with physical SRX device (I am assuming in cluster) and play around with routing to utilize both VPNs.

If you create route based vpn on both tunnels.

Establish ospf on both links.

Set the backup link as higher ospf cost.

The traffic will automatically failover for routing when the primary tunnel is lost.
